THE ESTATE
THE TERROIR REVOLUTION
Dominio de Elbio, the largest vineyard in La Horra, stands out for its biodiversity and innovative approach. This project not only preserves history but redefines established norms, betting on a more unknown Ribera del Duero.
SOWING DENSITY AND VINEYARD MANAGEMENT
High density: Sowing of 1.20 x 2 meters encourages natural competition, resulting in more concentrated grapes and high quality wines.
Deep roots: Competition between plants improves the absorption of nutrients and water.
Concentrated grapes: Smaller berries with thicker skin, essential for structured and complex wines.
ONE VINEYARD, ONE TREASURE
Extension: 60 hectares in total, 45 dedicated to vine cultivation.
Transformation: Recovery of forested land, and a vineyard planted in 2000 by the Chivite family.
RICH AND DIVERSE TERRAIN
Soils: Clay-calcareous, rich in minerals such as iron and limestone, ideal for high-quality grapes.
Low intervention: Light management of the vineyard, maintaining its natural health.

NATURAL ENVIRONMENT
Forests and diverse flora create a unique microcosm that is reflected in each wine.
WILDLIFE PROTECTION
Harmonious coexistence with local fauna, including groups of wild boar and roe deer, which adds a layer of authenticity and vitality to the vineyard. This essence is perceived when touring the vineyard and is faithfully transmitted in each wine we make.
