Acquired in 2000 by Chivite, the Dominio de Elbio vineyard represents a strategic commitment to wine excellence in Ribera del Duero. This project gains promising momentum with the integration of Chivite into the Perelada family, who will finally make the dream of making exceptional wines come true with the grapes that come out of this magical vineyard.
Located in the renowned “magic triangle” of La Horra, Anguix and Roa, in the prestigious Ribera del Duero region, this vineyard encapsulates a winemaking tradition of more than 2,300 years. From the Celtiberians to the present.
BETWEEN VINES AND MEMORIES
DAVID GONZALEZ
For David, this project has a special and emotional meaning. His family is originally from Arlanza, just 20 kilometers from the vineyard, and his personal connection with this land adds an additional layer of passion and dedication to the work he does.
From his first visit, he recognized the unique potential of the parcel, which led him to opt for purer profiles and less influenced by wood, perfect for creating a brand that aspires to maximum prestige and quality.
David González joins the Dominio de Elbio project with an impressive background in the world of wine, having left his mark in renowned wineries and as an educator at the University of La Rioja. His enological philosophy, focused on the authentic expression of the terroir and the typicity of the varieties, promises to enrich the history of the vineyard with wines that reflect the purity and identity of the land.
